November is Bond month
Wed, 08 Nov 2006
The month of November has become synonymous for Bond films being screened on satellite and cable networks . This November is no exception, with the release of Casino Royale, the 21st bond film to be released with Daniel Craig taking over the role of the famous spy.
Bond fans get a double helping of Bond this month as MGM will be re-releasing the "James Bond Ultimate Edition" DVD sets containing the last 20 films.
These latest editions are the ultimate must have for die hard Bond fans as they come in four volumes, each volume has five films on two-disc sets. The first two of the volumes are now available on sale.
Bond films are known for their big action scenes with minimal plots, lots of women on the screen and of course the ever classic dialogue.
The label of "ultimate edition" means that there are plenty of sparkling transfers and lots of special features to watch. They also include lots of new extras such as deleted scenes and screen tests. There are behind the scenes features, all the extras from previous versions of the film, as well as commentaries, interviews, trailers.
The re-released films look great having been restored frame by frame by Lowry Digital, the company who digitally re-mastered the original Star Wars trilogy and "Indiana Jones" films.
The last two volumes to complete the four will be released on 12 December.
